Consequences of abusing Mt Everest?
Abusing Mt Everest can cause:
Pollution: People are facing the tough challenge of maintaining Mt Everest a safe non-polluted tourist attraction. The increase of climbers has lead to an abundant increase of rubbish found mostly along the southeast Ridge. This is the most popular route to reaching the top of the mountain at 29,035 feet. The causes for the pollution around Mt Everest are , as climbers reach the altitude of 26,000 feet and above they abandon extra gear and as people reached the top of the mountain they decomposed their personal litter and waste through out the journey.
Global Warming: Global warming is an increase of temperature in the atmosphere. Global warming has a huge affect on Mt Everest because it is made out of snow, as the temperatures increase the snow melts therefore there is flooding near villages. Global warming is believed to be caused by the greenhouse effect.
Shortage of resources: Mt Everest has vast resources such as wood, water, Oxygen and many more. But the only problem is they are not being used as they should, they are being wasted such as contaminating the Oxygen in the atmosphere because of pollution. Another resource that is being harmed because of the pollution and waste is water; this happens because while the snow is solid it absorbs bacteria because of the waste around its surroundings, therefore when the ice melts it becomes contaminated water. If resources are not used as should Mt Everest will have a shortage of resources therefore Mt Everest will not be as precious and spectacular as it already is.
